Steve has been a professional musician and teacher for over forty years. He studied with the Oscar Peterson Trio with renowned bass player Ray Brown, as well as Ron Carter, Sam Jones, Doug Miller, Gary Peacock, Ron Simon and James Harnett. Steve has taught at the Cornish School of Allied Arts in Seattle, WA and at Western Washington University in Bellingham, WA. He has toured with well known trumpeter Floyd Standifer and has worked with other music greats such as Della Reese, Herb Ellis, Milt Jackson, Bobby Hutcherson, June Christy, Barney Kessel, Walt Wagner, Keith McClelland and Stan Keen to name just a few. Steve also appeared with Elvis Presley in the movie Roustabout. He was founder of, and performed with, the group Collaboration. He was also a member of Puget Sound Ensemble. Steve is currently performing with the group Shear Jazz around the greater Seattle area.
